2019 Overseas Study Tour Scholarship
MEF Victoria has selected three public works officers to participate in an overseas study tour scholarship award to the United States of America and Canada to travel in a group tour of up to three weeks and to attend the APWA International Public Works Congress & Exhibition (PWX) in Seattle, Washington USA from 8th to 11th September 2019. Each scholarship provides $11,000 to cover costs towards travel, accommodation and congress registration.
The selected participants are –
Kurt Pitts, Project Engineer, Cardinia Shire Council
Lachlan Johnson, Manager Project Services, Port Phillip City Council
Tony McGann, General Manager Infrastructure and Leisure Services, Colac-Otway Shire Council.
On completion of the tour, each participant is to provide a report on their topic of study whilst overseas. The reports will be published on this website on completion.
2018 Overseas Study Tour Scholarship
The study tour recipients have completed their group tour to USA and Canada during which they attended the APWA International Public Works Congress & Exhibition (PWX) in Kansas City, Missouri from 26th to 29th August 2018.
The tour group were –
- Les Stokes, Manager – Operations, Melton City Council
- Daniel Kelabora, Senior Project Engineer, Latrobe City Council
- James Kelly, Manager Delivery and Assets, Banyule City Council
The tour recipients are to complete reports on their topic of study during the tour and these reports will be published in the Research section of this site early in 2019.
